How does evaporation work?

evaporation occurs when the sun or something else like an elecric light or fire (such as on a stove) heats water particals. To make it more simple, the particles jump and dance around and the hotter they are the more they jump and dance. When they get hot enough the particals will colide woth each other sending the particals upwards as hot water is lighter that air.so it rises up and forms into clouds which is called condensation.the particals evenually get cold agian and build up and join with other particals and will then fall as rain or, if on a stove, will just form dew drops on the lid.

Evaporation occurs when surface molecules move fast enough to break the attractive forces in the liquid. It is temperature related.

Evaporation is the vaporization of a liquid. Evaporation happens when the liquid heats up because of a heat source and turns into a gaseous form. Then the gas rises up to the sky. As it cools, the gas starts to turn into a liquid. That's when condensation happens.

Evaporation is when water from a body of water is turned into a as called water vapor. The water vapor then rise into the clouds. Once there is too much water in the clouds it falls. This it called rain. When the water evaporates it may take in other materials in the water. Some of the materials may be toxic. This is called acid rain. The rain falls and then ether fall back into the ocean, sea, river and almost always flows back into a body of water. The water that doesn't flow into a body of water ether falls into soil or would be evaporated again. The cycle continues endlessly. Bodies of water will always refill themselves this way. So don't worry about the oceans dying up!

the liquid, water, is heated to a point in which it then terns into a gas, steam. this is the water evaporating.

Short and Sweet Version

Evaporation works when water molecules get enough energy to break through the water and get evaporated

Have you ever wonder how evaporation works/affects the Earth? Well, the evaporation helps the world because it gives more air. The more air it gives, the more it can help the plants. Evaporation keeps the weather cycles going by evaporating the water from bodies of water such as plants and animals, that back up to produce clouds, which causes rain which falls back to the ground

Very nice ideas and you explained eveirthyng so well. I think these ideas could be part of a green energy weekend or workshop or classes for parents and children. We live near a town that has a weekend each year with many opportunities and most are for adults. It would be fun to include parent/child sessions. Carolyn

I am doing a evaporation project and hope you guys enjoy my saying of my reasoning. Water evaporates when air is seaked on to the water molecues and make the water molecues faster and faster just enough to make the water change to a gas and fly off (Transparent). Hopefully this helps you guys in your guyses science fair project because im using evaporation in mine too.
