How do I get rid of bathroom mold and why does it grow so easily?

Category: Biology

I just can't get rid of the mold in my bathroom. It keeps growing in-between the bathroom tiles and looks horrible and unhygienic. It's amazing how life can seem to grow anywhere, even in bathroom tiles.

I've replaced the tile grout many times and used plenty of cleaning products but the cure is only temporary. So I have a few questions that may help me and will help quench my curiosity:

1. What chemical would be best suited in killing the mould and its spores? Bleach and other bathroom cleaning products seem to only work temporarily, as the mold seems to grow back. Are the only effective chemicals impossible to get due to their danger?

2. What species of mold grows between bathroom tiles? I've always been curious of what the horrible mold is called.

3. Why does this species of mold thrive so well in my bathroom? I assume it's from the large amount of moisture present in the bathroom, but tile grout doesn't seem to be the best place to grow.

4. How can I prevent it growing back in future? It's annoying to keep having to scrub and clean for minimal effect on combating the mold, so how can I stop it from coming back in future? I've tried everything but nothing seems to last in the long term.

5. Do the spores from bathroom mold cause any detrimental health effects? I always assumed that mold spores only caused damage to people that had allergies but I am curious.

you can get rid of bathroom mold using chemical agents such as antifungals and bleach. it grows easily because mold flourishes in wet environments.

Mold grows in bathrooms because of the humidity. It is a good idea to have a ceiling fan in your bathroom. You can also put a dehumidifer in the bathroom. Main point is to circulate the air. A good product to use is Safe Shield. It is an excellent mold removal and prevention product that will clean, but more importantly block and encapsulate surfaces so mold does not grow back. It is organic.
