Yes it is possible for two parents with brown eyes to have
children with blue eyes.
Eye color is made up of many genes, however you can narrow it down two for most purposes using a Punnett Square. People with brown eyes typically have a dominant gene (we'll call X) and a recessive gene (we'll call y) which is called a hybrid. If both parents have brown eyes and both parents have the dominant and recessive gene, their genetic possibilities in their
children are as follows:
XX - Brown Dominant - 25% possibility
Xy - Brown Hybrid - 50% possibility
Xy - Brown Hybrid - 50% possibility
yy -
Light eyes (blue or green) Recessive - 25% possibility
A DNA test can determine the exact make up, but there is about a 25% chance that the child would have
light colored eyes.
