The easiest method of preparing H2 is using a simple battery, two test tubes, two conductive leads and a
water bath.
Water is a polar substance, oxygen negatively charged, and hydrogen positive. In a
water bath mount two leads and attach one end of each battery to each lead. Place the two test tubes upside down over each lead, hydrogen should collect in the test tube with the negative lead in it.
